Mönch Peak in Parallel Orbits
The mountain peak in the distance is called Mönch (4107 meters), or Monk's Peak, which is a part of the Swiss Alps. It is located between Eiger Peak and Jungfrau Peak. At this moment, the moon has risen and the left side of the mountain peak is illuminated by moonlight. In the legend of the locals, a young girl was in love, and the lewd old man Eiger often coveted this pure girl. In order to protect her, a monk was specially arranged to monitor Eiger in the middle. This photo was taken on the evening of October 1, 2023, at Interlaken, 18 kilometers away from Mount Mochi. The stack of nearly a hundred photos in about half an hour shows the trajectory of stars. Due to the use of a 600mm focal length lens for photography, the distant star orbits have already shown parallel lines. Due to their low height, the star orbits have shown colorful colors.

Fly under Big Dipper
This photo was taken on the plane at 2018 October 8th night. The plane is from Paris to Moscow. After the plane take off some minutes, it passed by Paris and other big city near France. The light of the city is bright. However, Big Dipper is obvious. the plane fly to east for a while so that I can face to north and capture the image. It can be found that the light under the plane is blurred due to the high speed, but the stars are clear.

the Big Dipper Point to the West
In China, there is an old saying says: when the big dipper point to east, it is spring. when the big dipper point to south, it is summer, when the big dipper point to west, it is autumn, when the big dipper point to north, it is winter. This saying is correct not only in China but also in most area of Northern Hemisphere. However, the time should be several hours after sunset. I took this image at Isle of Rassay, Scotland, at about 10:23 p.m. Oct 6th 2016. Coincidence, because there is a street lamp behind my back, my shadow could be seen on the white wall.
My equipment is EF24 1.4L II lens and Canon 6D. -
Cassiopeia W Enhanced
The shape W of Cassiopeia is as famous as the big dipper, because it is easy to find north point when we find the shape W. There are much star cluster near Cassiopeia. I used image software to enhance the brightness of the five stars of the W. I used camera 6D and FS 60cb telescope to get 17 images and composed them in one picture on 2016 January 3th in the suburb of Beijing, China.
