Venus Dimmed Twice
In this photo, the bright band of light is actually Venus' orbit around 90 minutes in the sky. This Venus bright belt dimmed twice, apparently because the moon blocked the light of Venus in the middle, while the latter dimmed as Venus fell into the clouds near the horizon. This photo was taken on the suburb of Linzhou City, Henan Province, China, shortly after sunset in the evening of March 24, 2023. Here, the moon will gradually block Venus, but because this location is located at the edge of the eclipse zone, the moon does not completely block Venus. According to forecast data, about 80% of the bright parts of Venus are blocked by the moon. Through a slightly longer exposure, the lunar surface illuminated by the Earth can be clearly seen. My equipment: FSQ85 ED, Canon R5, Rainbow RST-135. -
Venus Closed to Moon at Noon
This photo was taken at about 12:50 p.m. at noon at local time on November 8, 2021. At this time, Venus has just passed the moon. In Beijing, when Venus is closest to the edge of the moon, at about 12:30, it is only a few diameters away. The phenomena of Venus closed to the moon often occur, but it is very rare to see such a close distance from a fixed place. My equipment: Celestron C11, ZWO ASI1600MM Pro and Sony A7RM II, Rainbow RST-135. -
Saturn at Opposition with its Five Moons
I took this photo at 00:24 at Beijing local time on August 2, 2021 (Aug 1st 2021 UT 16:24).Saturn in the picture is synthesized again through the superposition of five 2-minute videos. In the photo, we can clearly see the hexagonal storm in Saturn's North Pole and the Cassini ring gap on the ring. At this time, Saturn also reached this year's maximum apparent diameter: about 18.6 ".Saturn's five moons are obtained through longer exposure. The moons from left to right are Dione, Enceladus, Tethys, Rhea and Titan. Titan, the brightest and largest moon on the far up-right, is the second largest moon in the solar system. My equipment: Celestron C11, ZWO ASI224MC, Televue 4X lens and Televue 2X lens, Rainbow RST-135. -

Five Planets at Once
I take this picture at January 24th morning 2016 in Jing Shan Park which is located in the north side of the Forbidden City, Beijing, China. The wind is huge and the atmosphere is clear. Forty-five minutes before sunrise, the altitude of Mercury is only about five degree; however, I get this image just at that time. Although the sky is bright, this image captured the star dark than 4 magnitude. I have enhance the brightness of the five planets and several main stars, so that they can be identified easily.
Jing Shan Park is located at the central of Beijing. In this image, some south part of the Beijing city was also captured including the old building Forbidden City just at the down side of the image, and the bright light in the middle is coming from Tian 'anmen Square. -
How close are Venus and Jupiter
I took the picture on June 30th 2015 just after sunset in Beijing China. In this picture I want to show the visual distance about the two planets. They are less then one degree. I took the image of the moon just after I take the picture of two planets. I put the moon and two planets in one picture for the purpose of easy understanding. The four moons of Jupiter and the shape of Venus could also be found easily. I used FS 60cb with 600mm focus length and Canon 6D to get them.
