Lunar X and V
This photo was taken on the night of December 30, 2022 in Hebei Province, China. At this time, the moon is just half lit up watching from the earth, and the sunshine and the shadow share the moon equally. On the dividing line between day and night on the moon, two letters, X and V, can be clearly seen. The illusion is caused by the reflection of sunlight from craters on the moon, and the time to see the shape of X and V is very short, which lasts only a few hours each time.
