The Elephant's Trunk Nebula in Cepheus
With the arrival of autumn, Cepheus gradually rises to the southern sky after sunset, becoming one of the targets suitable for shooting in autumn. My photo target is the Elephant Trunk Nebula in Cepheus and the clouds near it. The total exposure time of the image is 33 hours. The nebula colors in the picture come from three kinds of 3nm narrowband filters, and the red, green and blue shown in the picture come from atomic sulfur, atomic hydrogen and atomic oxygen respectively. This nebula in the picture is the place where stars are born, while the black part in the picture is thick dust, which may become the raw material for star formation. However, the dust also hides those newborn stars. The color of stars in the picture comes from the red, green and blue filters. I used my remote control system to get this image. The remote control observatory is located in Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province, China.
